Tomorrow, Tomorrowwww

I spent almost all of today writing and messing with photos, so my day has yielded nary an experience worth telling, unless you count getting lost in the mercado and finding myself in an abandoned part of town beyond where the chicken buses sleep.

But tomorrow, I promise…

I haven’t even laughed once all day, so I have nothing funny to say. I cracked only one fake smile when I paid for my groceries. Maybe tomorrow?

While one of my cameras is still badly dead, the other seems to be working. I gave it one last airing out today. So, tomorrow…

Oh, wait: here. I snapped two test-shots today. This is the view from the upstairs porch of my new house. The volcano on the left (Fuego) was erupting, but by the time I fixed my camera the plume was hiding behind clouds.

And this second photo is of cobblestone repair that’s been underway throughout the town for the past month. That’s Iglesia Santa Lucia in the background; if you could see through it and look about four blocks behind and to the left, you might see me waving from my kitchen, but probably not, because for one thing I’m not waving.

Toodles. Or as they say in Costa Rica… pura vida.
