Repeatable

Eleni is my daughter and, more notably, she is my mother’s granddaughter. Here’s how you can tell: The other day she said, “Jason’s face just lit up when he saw the fire.” (Yes, Virginia: chickens do have pecking orders and crows have their nests.)

My students, too, provided me with food for thought this week.

“Duck is an animal that has a long mouse.”

“A aunt is a small black insect that bite.”

“A panda is a kind of bear that has black eyeshadow around its eyes.”

“A professor is someone who knows everything that you want to know.”

  1. I certainly AM a small black insect that bite! Didn’t you know that already? What kind of a professor ARE you if you don’t know such basic things as this?

    “field notiona”

  2. That was me, Molly, your slightly less tattooed daughter.
